News Breaks | | | | November 26, 2012 | | 08:04 EDT |  | MITL | Mitel provides communications for the Specialized Medical Center, Riyadh Mitel announced that it has implemented a feature-rich IP telephony solution for the Specialized Medical Center Hospital, or SMCH, in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia. The solution, built on the Mitel Communications Director, or MCD, platform, has been designed to enhance communication across the Hospital and with members of the public, and is expected to deliver significant savings through streamlined maintenance and management, and lower call costs. Located in the heart of Riyadh, the SMCH provides over 450 inpatient beds and over 140 outpatient clinics. The resilient MCD solution will be used by the Hospital's dedicated, highly qualified team of almost 2,000 physicians, paramedic and support staff. Through Mitel softphones, the staff will have access to a range of rich call handling and telephony features including unified messaging, allowing them to access voice messages from anywhere across the Hospital. | |

| June 17, 2013 | | 10:31 EDT |  | MITL | Mitel acquires contact center supplier prairieFyre Mitel completed the acquisition of one of its key suppliers, prairieFyre Software, a privately held global provider of contact center, business analytics, and workforce optimization software and services. The net cash cost to Mitel for the acquisition of prairieFyre is approximately $20M. The deal is expected to be accretive in the first year. prairieFyre is an original equipment manufacturer that has supplied Mitel with its existing contact center solution. | |
