Most legal experts think government has weak case against S&P, Reuters says Most securities lawyers interviewed by Reuters said they saw significant weaknesses in the fraud claim being brought by the U.S. government against McGraw-Hill's (MHP) S&P unit and that they expect S&P to prevail at trial if the case continues to that end. Experts added that if there is a settlement before a trial, it would like be for considerably less than the $5B the government is seeking, Reuters said.
