| theflyonthewall.com: | Mizuho Financial may buy Asian investment bank, Bloomberg reports | | In a move to improve slow growth in winning equity and debt offerings, Bloomberg reports that Mizuho Financial (MFG) may buy an investment bank in Asia. CEO Yasuhiro Sato says the bank's expansion plans may call for allying with an investment bank and purchasing asset managers and hedge funds in India, Indonesia and Singapore. Sato is also planning to increase the branches in Asia outside of Japan to 50 within five years for its corporate banking unit. Reference Link :theflyonthewall.com |
