06:11 EDTENBEnbridge acquires interest in $650M value wind portfolio from E.ON
Enbridge (ENB) announced a deal whereby the company will purchase an 80% interest in a portfolio of two wind farms in the U.S. from E.ON (EONGY). The agreed enterprise value for the portfolio is approximately $650M. The 203 megawatt Magic Valley 1 wind farm located near Harligen, Texas and the 202 MW Wildcat 1 wind farm near Elwood, Indiana are operational and came into service in 2012. The two wind farms are located in areas with favourable wind regimes and combined, provide enough clean power for more than 120,000 households. Enbridge has invested approximately $3B in renewable energy assets over the past five years. Upon closing, the acquisition of these two wind farms will bring Enbridge's total net generating capacity of green power projects to more than 1,600 MW and helps position the Company to double existing capacity by 2018. The projects also further help Enbridge meet its Neutral Footprint commitment to generating a kilowatt hour of renewable energy for every additional kilowatt of energy consumed by its Liquids Pipelines business, a goal the company is on track to meet by 2015. Under the terms of the agreement, E.ON will retain a 20 percent interest and remain the operator of the wind farms, demonstrating its ongoing commitment to the projects and the North American market. E.ON currently operates more than 2,700 MW of renewable capacity in the U.S. and is a leader in the American wind industry. Completion of the transaction is subject to regulatory approvals.

08:15 EDTTLMTalisman Energy, Ecopetrol announce discovery in Block CPO-9, Colombia
Talisman Energy (TLM) affiliate Talisman Oil & Gas and Ecopetrol S.A. (ECP) have proven the presence of hydrocarbons in the Nueva Esperanza-1 exploratory well, located in block CPO-9, Department of Meta, Colombia. The Nueva Esperanza-1 well was spudded on July 18, 2014 and reached total depth at 12,056 feet on September 26, 2014. During an initial 8-day flow test using an electro submersible pumping system, 309 feet of perforations in the T2 formation stabilized at a daily flow rate of 910 barrels of 8 degrees API crude oil with less than 2% water cut during the last day of flow. Talisman and Ecopetrol are jointly analyzing the results and will file an application with the Colombian authorities to place the Nueva Esperanza-1 well on long-term test. Approval has been granted to drill two down-dip appraisal wells, the first of which, Nueva Esperanza-2, started drilling operations on November 16.
