06:26 EDTMCDMcDonald's orders products from Thai supplier after food scare, Reuters says
Thailand's Charoen Pokphand Foods was approached by McDonald's Japan to provide the franchise with chicken products after the recent food safety scandal in China with Shanghai Husi Food, according to Reuters, citing comments from Charoen Pokphand Foods' president and CEO Adirek Sripratak. Sripratak said, "We have received orders from McDonald's. Strong demand for exports helped push up chicken prices and the company will move orders from the domestic spot market to export to customers." Reference Link
