Southwest reports April traffic Southwest announced that the company flew 8.7B revenue passenger miles in April, a 1.5% increase from the 8.6B RPMs flown in April 2012. Available seat miles increased 4.1% to 11.2B from the April 2012 level of 10.8B. The April load factor was 77.8%, compared to 79.8% in April 2012. For April, passenger revenue per ASM is estimated to have decreased in the four to five percent range compared to April 2012.
Southwest price target raised to $48 from $35 at Imperial Capital Imperial Capital raised its price target for Southwest shares to $48 saying the company should benefit from "strong" domestic industry trends and lower fuel prices. The firm keeps an Outperform rating on the stock.
