Henry Gerkens, Landstar's Chairman, President and CEO, said on the company's mid-Q3 update call, "I believe the current inconsistent revenue patterns will be short lived and I remain very confident in Landstar's ability to execute and continue to take market share." Gerkens added that overall revenue in the first eight weeks of 3Q12 compared to the first eight weeks of the 3Q11 were "somewhat softer" than originally projected, though the remaining five weeks of any Q3 "typically is the strongest period" of those reporting quarters for the company. | |
