| theflyonthewall.com: | Landstar System's financial position remains strong | | On its Q3 earnings conference call Landstar System's president and CEO Henry Gerkens commented that the company's QoQ revenue comparisons for Q4 should be easier than the prior 2009 quarterly comparisons. Mr. Gerkens anticipates a Q4 freight environment with stable demand and no further degradation in price, and believes Q4 overall consolidated revenue amount will be similar to that generated in Q309. The company expects Q4 EPS to be in a range of 37c-42c. The company added new quality productive agents; acquired two freight under management technology-based companies; and adjusted our organizational structure to better position ourselves in a marketplace as a one-stop shop for all of a customer's transportation needs. The company's executives stated they are excited about the future and have confidence in its direction as the economy begins a slow recovery :theflyonthewall.com |
