12:35 EDTMWW, FB, LNKDLinkedIn falls after Facebook unveils jobs app
LinkedIn (LNKD) is retreating after the Social Jobs Partnership announced that it would launch a jobs app on Facebook (FB). The Social Jobs Partnership is a coalition which includes Facebook, the U.S. Department of Labor, and several non-profit organizations. At its launch, the Facebook jobs app already includes 1.7M job listings, including positions from Monster.com (MWW). LinkedIn.com, a professional networking website, obtains revenue from job advertisements. In early afternoon trading, LinkedIn dropped $1.38, or 1.39%, to $97.88, while Facebook jumped $1.82, or 9.16%, to $21.67.

Marketo (MKTO) announced it will partner with LinkedIn (LNKD) on a solution that connects LinkedIn's Lead Accelerator solution with Marketo's Engagement Marketing Platform. The combination "bridges the gap between digital, social and offline channels to enable marketers to engage in relevant conversations with customers wherever they are online," the company said. GE (GE) will pioneer the joint solution, Marketo announced.
