| theflyonthewall.com: | Cheniere rallies after BG Group makes U.S. gas export forecast, Bloomberg says | | Cheniere's (LNG) stock jumped after BG Group (BRGYY) CEO Frank Chapman said his company expects the U.S. to export about 45M tons of liquid natural gas in 2020, according to Bloomberg. Last October BG, which is seeing strong demand for liquid natural gas, announced a contract to buy 3.5M metric tons of natural gas per year from an export terminal that Cheniere is seeking to develop in Louisiana, the news service added. Under the agreement, Blackstone has agreed to purchase $1.5B newly issued CQP Class B units from Cheniere Partners in a private placement. As previously announced, Cheniere Energy (LNG) has also agreed to purchase $500M newly issued Class B Units pursuant to a separate unit purchase agreement. :theflyonthewall.com |
