11:06 EDTLMTLockheed Martin selected by GSA to provide secure email services
The General Services Administration selected Lockheed Martin to compete for task orders on its new Email as a Service contract. Sixteen other companies also were selected to support this Blanket Purchase Agreement program. The five-year EaaS program has an estimated ceiling value of $2.5B for all contractors. It is available to federal, state and local government agencies via GSA's IT Schedule 70. Through this procurement, Lockheed Martin will compete to provide secure cloud-based email service, office automation, electronic records management, migration services and integration services through private, secret, government community and public cloud computing environments.

ITT Exelis (XLS) announced it received a $9.4M contract from Lockheed Martin Aeronautics (LMT) to supply the Continuous Wave Illuminator subsystem for the F-16 Fighting Falcon. Deliveries will be completed by December 2014.
