United Continental (UAL) is close to a deal to change at least 10 of its Boeing (BA) 787 Dreamliners that are on order to 777-300ER jetliners, which are larger, The Wall Street Journal reports, citing two sources. Northrop Grumman has been awarded a $963.5M indefinite-delivery/indefinite-quantity contract for intercontinental ballistic missile, or ICBM, ground subsystems support. Contractor support includes sustainment engineering, technical assistance and program management services for ground subsystems to include sustainment, assessment, system modification and technical support. Work will be performed at Hill Air Force Base, Utah; Vandenberg Air Force Base, California; Malmstrom Air Force Base, Montana; Minot Air Force Base, North Dakota; F.E. Warren Air Force Base, Wyoming, Offutt Air Force Base, Nebraska; Colorado Springs, Colorado; and Needham, Massachusetts, and is expected to be complete by Jan. 31, 2020. This award is the result of a competitive acquisition with two offers received.
