Liberty Media (LMCA) is moving closer to taking final control of Sirius XM (SIRI), reports the Wall Street Journal. One move Liberty plans to make is appointing a new CEO for Sirius to succeed Mel Karmazin, but Liberty isn't expected to push for big changes in Sirius's business strategy. In other Liberty news, the company is close to finalizing the spinoff of Starz, which could start trading as a separate company on January 11. Reference Link
