12:41 EDTLLYEli Lilly settles SEC foreign bribery charges for $29.4M
The SEC charged Eli Lilly with violations of the Foreign Corrupt Practices Act for improper payments its subsidiaries made to foreign government officials to win of business in Russia, Brazil, China, and Poland. Lilly agreed to pay more $29.4M to settle the SECís charges. Lilly also agreed to comply with certain undertakings including the retention of an independent consultant to review and make recommendations about its foreign corruption policies and procedures, the SEC said.
