A U.S. court of appeals ruled that a lower court was wrong to find that Limelight Networks (LLNW) were held not to infringe the patents asserted against it by Akamai Technologies (AKAM). The patent in question covers a method for efficient delivery of web content, according to the appeals court's decision. The ruling stated, "While we do not hold that Akamai is entitled to prevail on its theory of direct infringement, the evidence could support a judgment in its favor on a theory of induced infringement." The appeals court reversed the prior judgment and remanded the case for further proceedings. | |
