07:01 EDTLIME, POWRLime Energy selles ESCO Services business unit to PowerSecure for $1.9M
Lime Energy Co (LIME) announced that Lime has sold certain assets of its wholly owned subsidiary, Lime Energy Service Company, constituting its energy service companies, or ESCO, subcontracting business to PowerSecure, Inc. a subsidiary of PowerSecure International, Inc. (POWR) for approximately $1.9M in cash. PowerSecure also will assume approximately $9.9M of net liabilities related to existing projects, resulting in an effective purchase price of approximately $11.8M.

PowerSecure has added approximately $75M to its revenue backlog, including approximately $49M from a renewed and expanded three year utility infrastructure award to serve one of the nation’s largest investor owned utilities. The new IOU contract represents an increase of approximately 50% over last year’s work levels. In addition, the new business awards include approximately $18M of new distributed generation business, approximately $4M of additional new UI business, and approximately $4M in new energy efficiency sales.
