Among the many scenarios explored before MetroPCS (PCS) agreed to merge with Deutsche Telekom's (DTEGY) T-Mobile USA unit was the possibility of a three- way merger with Leap Wireless (LEAP), according to a source reporting to Bloomberg. Shares of MetroPCS have been higher since the company revealed in a filing late Friday that it held talks with at least eight companies prior to its deal with T-Mobile. Shares of Leap, which have also been higher the whole session, took another leg up as Bloomberg reported, according to its source, that Leap is “Company E” in MetroPCS' filing.
