Piedmont pilots, represented by the Air Line Pilots Association, ratified the tentative agreement reached with the company in early February. With nearly 90% of the eligible pilots voting, 78% voted in favor of the new collective bargaining agreement. The new contract includes a signing bonus, annual pay increases, and an agreement with US Airways main line to provide career progression opportunities for Piedmont pilots. The pilots also agreed to contribute more to their health care, bringing their contributions more in line with the rest of the industry. Piedmont Airlines is a wholly owned subsidiary of US Airways and flies regional routes in the central East Coast. Piedmont is a wholly owned subsidiary of US Airways Group (LCC).
