Kratos Defense announced that its Modular Systems Division, or KMSD, recently received an approximately $14M new contract award for secure, hardened and protected transportable facilities in support of a certain United States National Security program. KMSD, which will be performing the work under this program, is an industry leader in the design, engineering, manufacture, and integration of specialty modular systems and products that support mission critical United States National Security programs and those of our allies. KMSD products support leading technology and disruptive programs, including unmanned systems, intelligence, surveillance and reconnaissance platforms, radar and missile systems, the electromagnetic rail gun and chemical, biological, radiation, nuclear and explosive, or CBRNE, sensing programs. Under the new program award, Kratos will be providing specialized secure, protected and hardened transportable facilities, products and systems in support of a certain U.S. Government program. Work performed under this contract award will be performed at secure Kratos manufacturing facilities. Due to customer related and other considerations, no additional information will be provided related to this program.

07:10 EDTKTOSKratos Defense awarded contract to extend CMC of Es'hailSat
Kratos Defense announced that its Kratos Integral Systems Europe subsidiary has been awarded a contract to extend the existing Capacity Management Center, or CMC, of Es'hailSat, the Qatar Satellite Company, to accommodate the Es'hail-2 satellite, scheduled to launch in late 2016. Having deployed the existing CMC for Es'hailSat in 2013, Kratos ISE will expand that system with a monitoring site at the new Es'hailSat teleport, provide the teleport with four new, Kratos-designed earth stations covering the Ku-band and Ka-band mission of the Es'hail-2 satellite, and extend the existing frequency planning system.
