Kratos Defense announced that its Public Safety & Security Division recently received a new $7.8M critical infrastructure security system contract award. Under the contract award, Kratos will design, engineer, deploy and integrate into command and control infrastructure a leading technology security system for a mass transportation authority in a major city and metropolitan area in the United States. The security system that Kratos will be deploying will include video surveillance, analytics, access control and certain other specialized security related assets. Due to customer specific and other considerations, no additional information will be provided related to this contract award.

07:10 EDTKTOSKratos Defense awarded contract to extend CMC of Es'hailSat
Kratos Defense announced that its Kratos Integral Systems Europe subsidiary has been awarded a contract to extend the existing Capacity Management Center, or CMC, of Es'hailSat, the Qatar Satellite Company, to accommodate the Es'hail-2 satellite, scheduled to launch in late 2016. Having deployed the existing CMC for Es'hailSat in 2013, Kratos ISE will expand that system with a monitoring site at the new Es'hailSat teleport, provide the teleport with four new, Kratos-designed earth stations covering the Ku-band and Ka-band mission of the Es'hail-2 satellite, and extend the existing frequency planning system.
