07:22 EDTKTOS, RTNKratos Defense receives $5.8M contract in support of MALD program
Kratos Defense & Security Solutions (KTOS) announced that its subsidiary Composite Engineering, or CEI, has been awarded a $5.8M contract for the production of Miniature Air Launched Decoy, or MALD,-J fuselages. The recent award was for the Lot 5 production contract with deliveries starting in March of 2013. To date, CEI has provided multiple deliveries of MALD fuselages to Raytheon Missile Systems (RTN), the prime contractor for the MALD program. In addition to producing the MALD fuselage, CEI provides target drones made from composite materials that are designed to replicate some of the most lethal threats facing this nation's Warfighters and strategic assets.

Kratos Defense announced that its Micro Systems, Inc. subsidiary of the Kratos Unmanned Systems Division recently received a delivery order from the U.S. Navy valued at $4.8M for unmanned aerial drone system command and control systems and services. Under the new contract award, Kratos will provide engineering support and develop upgrades to unmanned aerial drone command and control electronics and related ground control stations. Kratos' Unmanned Systems Division is a premier provider of high performance unmanned drone aircraft and these systems' related avionics, electronics, command and control systems, solutions, services and logistics.
