Kratos Defense announced that its Kratos Integral Systems Europe subsidiary has been awarded a contract to extend the existing Capacity Management Center, or CMC, of Es'hailSat, the Qatar Satellite Company, to accommodate the Es'hail-2 satellite, scheduled to launch in late 2016. Having deployed the existing CMC for Es'hailSat in 2013, Kratos ISE will expand that system with a monitoring site at the new Es'hailSat teleport, provide the teleport with four new, Kratos-designed earth stations covering the Ku-band and Ka-band mission of the Es'hail-2 satellite, and extend the existing frequency planning system.
