The Wall Street Journal, citing people familiar with the discussions, is reporting that Cerberus Capital is in talks with Virtu Financial to join the company in it's bid for Knight Capital (KCG). The report notes that Knight's board met Monday to continue weighing the company's options, and that Knight's directors hope to make a decision, which could include keeping the company independent, by year's end.
