Milk prices could reach $6-$8 per gallon if Congress fails to pass a new farm bill soon, according to The New York Times. If new farm legislation isn't enacted, the government would be forced to buy milk at much higher prices, possibly causing the cost of the product to double for consumers, the newspaper says.
