Nordstrom (JWN) and TJX (TJX) both reported strong same-store sales increase for October. And, while the two cater to very different clientele, Barron's contends they both offer value for investors worried about a tepid holiday shopping season and the aftermath of Hurricane Sandy. TJX, a discount retailer, has long been in the "sweet spot" of retailing. And, unlike other luxury merchants, such as Tiffany (TIF) and Coach (COH), Nordstrom has not been hurt by slowdowns in Europe and China. Reference Link
