16:56 EDTJPM, VARJPMorgan to assume $45M of Varian Medical loan commitment for Scripps Ctr
Varian Medical Systems (VAR) announced it has entered into a series of agreements whereby JPMorgan Chase Bank (JPM) will assume $45M of Varian's approximately $115M loan commitment to fund the development, construction and initial operations of the Scripps Proton Therapy Center in San Diego. Under the agreements, JPMorgan Chase Bank, N.A. purchased $38.1M of Varian's outstanding loans and is obligated to fund up to an additional $6.9M of the remaining loan commitment for the Scripps center.
