| theflyonthewall.com: | Candidates for future REIT conversion offer upside for investors, Barron's says | | REITs, or real-estate investment trusts, aided by investors' rabid appetite for income-producing investments, consistently have trumped the broad market. With investors willing to pay up for stocks that generate income, more companies -- even prison operators -- are considering becoming real-estate investment trusts, Barron's reports. A wide variety of companies are candidates to become REITs, which generally. but not always, have turned in better stock-market performances in recent years. Candidates for future REIT conversion: Cincinnati Bell (CBB), Corrections Corp. of America (CXW), Crown Castle (CCI), Equinix (EQIX), GEO Group (GEO), Iron Mountain (IRM), SBA Communications (SBAC), W.P. Carey (WPC). Reference Link :theflyonthewall.com |
