07:48 EDTCCK, RKT, OI, IP, GPK, SONHighway bill could boost IP, RockTenn shares, says Jefferies
Jefferies notes the Senate and House agreed last week on the highway bill, which allows corporations to push out pension contributions. The firm thinks the bill will accelerate free cash flow generation for International Paper (IP), RockTenn (RKT) and Sonoco (SON). Jefferies believes shares of International Paper and RockTenn could move higher since the paper names are mainly valued on free cash flow. The firm does not expect much pension relief from the bill for Owens-Illinois (OI), Crown Holdings (CCK) and Graphic Packaging (GPK).

Consensus $2.50. "We are pretty optimistic as we close the book on what will be a record performance in 2014. The start to the fourth quarter has been very encouraging, particularly in our consumer-related businesses, and now we believe we should achieve or exceed the high end of our guidance for the quarter and 2014, including some recovery of excess costs associated with a previously mentioned flexible packaging material issue," said CEO Jack Sanders.
