11:00 EDTIOC, TOTInterOil says 'multiple' companies competed to be development partner
InterOil (IOC) said there was competition "right up to the final day" to partner in Papua New Guinea, with "multiple" competitors vying to reach a deal, but the company said it will not disclose which companies were competing with Total (TOT), which put forward the "best commercial option." The company reiterated that the deal includes provisions for several fixed payments at certain milestones, along with a series of variable resource payments.
