The firm downgraded the stock due to the company's negative Q1 preannouncement, increased competition for large deals, increased execution risk following acquisitions, and its belief that it could take longer for the company to turn itself around than in 2Q13.

RBC Capital expects Imperva's Q2 results to be at the high end of guidance or exceed it, driven by what the firm sees as a healthy big deal environment and building momentum at the company. The firm raised its estimates for the company above consensus levels, as it expects Imperva to continue to capitalize on a favorable Internet security environment. RBC keeps an Outperform rating on the shares.

Office of Personnel Management Director Katherine Archuleta said in a statement today to the House Oversight Committee that her agency is investigating whether up to 18M unique Social Security numbers were stolen as part of the previously disclosed cyberattack, Wall Street Journal reports. The hack is being defined as two distinct breaches, and the larger than previously thought numbers are preliminary and not verified, the Journal adds. Publicly traded companies in the cybersecurity space include Barracuda Networks (CUDA), Check Point (CHKP), F5 Networks (FFIV), FireEye (FEYE), Fortinet (FTNT), Imperva (IMPV), Palo Alto (PANW), Proofpoint (PFPT), Qualys (QLYS) and Symantec (SYMC).
