Infineon (IFNNY) is close to a deal to buy a semiconductor company based in the U.S. for around $2B, Bloomberg reports, citing sources. A deal could be announced as early as today, the sources add. Bloomberg previously reported that takeover targets in the semiconductor sector include Power Integrations (POWI), Fairchild Semiconductor International (FCS) and Semtech Corp (SMTC). Reference Link
