Integrated Device Technology and eSilicon Corporation announced a collaboration to expedite development of RapidIO switches to meet the growing performance demands of new system architectures for wireless, embedded and computing infrastructures. The two companies will work together to initially research and develop RapidIO switches operating at 40 Gbps per port based on the RapidIO 10xN specification.

After multiple tech blogs reported that Samsung's flagship smartphone, the Galaxy S 6, may have built-in wireless charging when it's launched in March, Dougherty believes that there is a good chance that Integrated Device (IDTI) will supply the wireless chargers. The firm says the deal could boost Integrated Device's annual revenue by $112M-$135M annually. The firm keeps an $18 price target and Buy rating on Integrated Device.
