EU member states and the European parliament have come to terms on overhauling regulation of securities markets including off-exchange dealing, commodity speculation and new technologies, says the Financial Times. The reforms impact German market infrastructure, with Deutsche Börse’s Eurex and Liffe, the London derivatives exchange owned by IntercontinentalExchange (ICE) as they force them to open up their venues, added the Financial Times. NYSE says it is "prepared" for the possibility of Hurricane Joaquin hitting the U.S. East Coast, Reuters reports. The exchange operator says it will invoke disaster recovery procedures "if necessary" in order to maintain functions for trading and operations. Hurricane Joaquin strengthened into a Category 4 hurricane on Thursday, according to the U.S. National Hurricane Center. Reference Link
