IntercontinentalExchange applied to ESMA for new service offering IntercontinentalExchange announced that it has applied to the European Securities and Markets Authority, or ESMA, to establish ICE Trade Vault Europe Limited as a Trade Repository for the reporting of swaps and futures trade data to meet requirements of the European Market Infrastructure Regulation. ICE Trade Vault Europe plans to serve the commodities, credit, interest rate and foreign exchange asset classes. The launch of ICE Trade Vault Europe is subject to approval by ESMA.
NYSE owner warns of cyber risk to frequency trading, Financial Times says IntercontinentalExchange CEO Jeff Sprecher warned that efforts to fend off cyber hackers could reverse the momentumtowards faster markets, reports the Financial Times.
