07:35 EDTIACIOKCupid had security lapse with new app, WSJ reports
OkCupid.com (IACI) yesterday launched a mobile app called Crazy Blind Date that says it takes much of the decision-making and profile-scouring out of online dating. But there was a problem: The software behind Crazy Blind Date made users’ email addresses and full birth dates accessible to anyone with the right technical skills, according to the Wall Street Journal. OkCupid stopped the security issue in the afternoon, after the Journal contacted the company. OkCupid saw no evidence of anyone exploiting the glitch, said CEO Sam Yagan. “It was essentially a typo, and really inadvertent,” he said.Reference Link
