News Breaks | | | | March 18, 2013 | | 09:01 EDT |  | HRS | U.S. Army raises Harris IDIQ tactical communications contract ceiling by $500M Harris Corporation has received a $500M increase in the ceiling value of its 2011 Indefinite Delivery, Indefinite Quantity contract with the U.S. Army Communications Electronics Command. The increased ceiling provides the U.S. government with greater flexibility in acquiring Harris radios, accessories, systems and services to assist international partners with their mission-critical communication needs. Under the contract, Harris provides military and land mobile radio systems to international partners of the U.S. State Department and U.S. Department of Defense. The contract is part of the U.S. government's Foreign Military Sales program, which supports coalition building and interoperability through sales of defense equipment, training and services. | |
