Hewlett-Packard (HPQ) says its technology wasn't knowingly sold to Syria, according to a letter to the SEC, reports the Wall Street Journal. Last year, reports surfaced claiming that HP's technology was being used as part of a surveillance program by the Syrian government, but the company says the products believed to have been sold to Syria were procured from a partner "that was not informed of the ultimate destination for those products."
