Takata said in a letter to the U.S. National Highway Traffic Safety Administration that it is prepared to back car manufacturers in replacing certain air bag inflators made between 2000 and 2007 that were supplied to multiple firms who sold cars in the U.S., according to Reuters, citing the letter.
