Himax Technologies recent sell-off a buying opportunity, says Northland Norhtland said the recent weakness in Himax (HIMX) due to the potential push-out of Google (GOOG) has created a buying opportunity. The analyst said there is no confirmation that Google's Glass product will be push-out beyond 2014 and sees other opportunities for the LCOS display business which increases confidence. Shares are Outperform rated with a $20 price target.
Himax force touch winning spots in smartphones, DigiTimes reports Himax Technologies president and CEO Jordan Wu said the company's multi-level force touch controller series has been selected by "leading smartphone vendors" for models to be launched in the first half of 2016, reported DigiTimes.
