Huntington Ingalls conducts study with Kinder Morgan Huntington Ingalls (HII) announced it will conduct a study with Kinder Morgan Energy (KMP) to explore redeveloping Huntington Ingalls Industries' Avondale shipyard in Louisiana. The study will explore and evaluate best-use opportunities for the facility. Once the study is completed and a determination has been made for an economically viable, best use of the facility, HII and Kinder Morgan Energy may pursue the formation of a joint venture to re-purpose the Avondale site.

Huntington Ingalls unit awarded $83M U.S. Navy contract Huntington Ingalls announced that its AMSEC LLC subsidiary has been awarded a contract by the U.S. Navy to provide engineering and technical services in support of the Navy Modernization Program. AMSEC LLC was one of several contractors awarded a three-year indefinite-delivery/indefinite-quantity, cost-plus-fixed-fee contract. The estimated ceiling amount of AMSEC's contract is $83M. Contract funds will be awarded on a competitive task order basis among the awardees.
