15:29 EDTTHC, LPNT, UHS, HCA, CYHHospital weakness attributed to pending ACA suit ruling, says UBS
UBS attributes today's weakness in shares of hospital operators to concern that the U.S. Court of Appeals for the D.C. Circuit may soon rule on a case that challenges the IRS decision to offer tax credits to low income uninsured in 34 states, with the firm noting that the court's rulings are released on Tuesdays and Fridays. UBS expects the case to go to the Supreme Court, meaning a final ruling is likely 1-2 years away, and the firm thinks the high court will eventually find it hard to outlaw the subsidies. Publicly traded hospital companies include Community Health (CYH), HCA Holdings (HCA), LifePoint Hospitals (LPNT), Tenet (THC) and Universal Health (UHS).

06:47 EDTUHS, THC, LPNT, HCA, CYHJudge halts illegal immigrant amnesty plan, NY Times says
A federal judge ordered the Obama administration to stop implementing its plan to prevent up to 5M illegal immigrants from being deported, according to The New York Times. The judge, who ruled that the government had failed to adhere to certain administrative rules in carrying out the president's executive actions on immigration, ordered the programs halted until he makes a final decision on the case, the newspaper explained. A number of analysts have said that the amnesty plan will hurt hospitals, since illegal immigrants who are granted legal status by the orders will not be able to obtain health insurance but will become more likely to seek treatment from hospitals. Publicly traded companies in the space include Community Health (CYH), HCA Holdings (HCA), LifePoint (LPNT), Tenet (THC) and Universal Health (UHS).Reference Link
