HSBC (HBC) is probing claims by a whistleblower, which are being examined by HM Revenue & Customs, that some of its offshore accounts were being used by serious criminals, the Financial Times reports. Insiders say the bank was "blindsided" by the data leak and were unaware of an investigation by HMRC. Reference Link
