| theflyonthewall.com: | Granite Construction wins $22M irrigation canal project | | Granite Construction has been awarded a $22M contract by the Gila River Indian Community to construct the final phase of the new 8.5-mile Santan Canal in Arizona. The canal is part of a plan to deliver 173,000 acre feet of water to farmlands within the community and eventually build a water system of 2,400 miles of canal and pipeline. Construction is to begin this month with an estimated completion date of December 2010. :theflyonthewall.com |
