Shares of mountable and wearable camera developer GoPro (GPRO) are climbing after the company announced its new HERO4 camera line-up. WHAT'S NEW: GoPro announced the camera offerings in its Hero4 lineup, including the $499 GoPro HERO4 Black, which shoots 4K video at up to 30 frames per second, 1080p HD video at 120 frames per second and 12-megapixel photos, as well as the HERO4 Silver, which offers may of the same features as the Hero4Black less some of the higher performance video capture modes including 4K30, 2.7K50 and 1080p120. The Hero4 Silver, which costs $399, includes GoPro's first built-in touch display. Finally, GoPro announced the HERO "entry-level" camera, which costs $129 and shoots 1080p HD video at 30 frames per second and 720p HD video at 60 frames per second. The company announced that the new HERO4 line will be available October 5 online and at select retailers worldwide. GoPro is also debuting new mounts and accessories on October 5, which include the Smart Remote, the Handler and the new BacPac Accessories, which correlate with the HERO4 line-up. ANALYST REACTION: Citigroup analyst Jeremy David said that while the company's rivals, such as Sony (SNE), are launching new products as well, GoPro isn't likely to be impacted much by competitive pressure. David foresees an upside risk to revenue and earnings per share in the third quarter. He believes that a broader array of price points for HERO devices might spark unit and/or ASP upside in Q4 and fiscal year 2015. David maintains a Neutral rating on GoPro with a $70 price target. PRICE ACTION: During mid-morning trading, GoPro rose $3.46 or 4.1%, to $85.47. Since it's IPO on June 26, GoPro's shares have increased 172.09%.

09:45 EDTGPROGoPro gaps up at open, runs higher
In what has become something of a pattern for the shares, there was a bullish gap up at the open with some follow through in rally form. At the current price of $75.55 the only resistance is the fresh life high at $76.25. Support is at $74.50. This run higher follows a brief period of consolidation, a sideways move, largely contained between $65 and $70 over the last two weeks. If traders can look past the clear stretch in valuation, the stock could still run on a pure momentum basis. The risk is there is very little real support below until that consolidation zone that starts at the $70 area.
