U.S. and European regulators are set to meet next week regarding their separate antitrust probes of Google (GOOG), according to a Wall Street Journal report that cites people familiar with the matter. The report says that Jon Leibowitz, chairman of the FTC, is set to meet with EU competition chief Joaquin Almunia on Monday. Reference Link

France's data protection and privacy regulator says that Google's current privacy policy violates French laws and Google has three months to comply or face sanctions of up to EUR 150,000 and a second fine of EUR 300,000 if the company fails to comply, reports Reuters. The notice would have triggered a waiting period during which the government could review any antitrust issues created by the deal.
