British record label Parlophone which has Coldplay and Kylie among its artists, is boycotting of Google’s (GOOG) new music service, Google Play, reports the Telegraph. The company, which is up for sale as a condition of Universal’s deal to buy its parent, EMI, said it has refused to join the Google service claiming that it offers no obvious benefit to its musicians, sources say. It's for sale for $1.9B and has attracted interest from American Idol creator Simon Fuller, Warner Music (TWX) and a consortium of Sony (SNE) and BMG, a music rights management group owned by Bertelsmann and KKR (KKR).Reference Link
