Nokia is exploring the sale of its maps business, known as HERE, and is attracting buyout interest for the unit from companies and private-equity firms, according to Bloomberg, citing people familiar with the matter. Nokia has valued the unit at $2.1B in a recent financial report and bids are expected soon, the report added. HERE competes with maps products from Google (GOOG, GOOGL), among others.
