Pacific Crest downgraded its rating on Apple (AAPL) shares to Sector Perform from Outperform citing a lack of big new profit drivers following the company's event yesterday. Pacific Crest analyst Andy Hargreaves says that while he is impressed with the new iPhone models, the potential from these devices is largely priced into the stock at current levels. Hargreaves estimates fair value for Apple shares at $100. The stock closed yesterday down 37c to $97.99.

Goldman Sachs downgraded GT Advanced Technologies (GTAT) to Neutral after Apple (AAPL) did not include sapphire display technology in either of the new iPhone 6 models. Goldman believes GT Advanced is the supplier of the sapphire display for Apple's new smartwatch, but views being out of the new iPhones as disappointed. The firm dropped its price target for shares to $14 from $20.

Capital One Financial (COF) announced that it is working with Apple’s (AAPL) new payment service, Apple Pay, available on the new iPhone 6, iPhone 6 Plus and Apple Watch beginning in October. Apple Pay adds a new dimension to mobile payments. With Apple Pay, Capital One customers will be able to use their credit or debit cards directly from their iPhone 6, iPhone 6 Plus and Apple Watch to pay for purchases at many of their favorite stores. To pay, customers just need to hold their iPhone 6 near the contactless reader with their finger on Touch ID and payment is made. In addition, Apple Pay will also allow users to pay for a variety of online purchases in apps.

Visa (V) announced it is supporting consumer payments with the new iPhone 6, iPhone 6 Plus and Apple (AAPL) Watch. Thanks to a new capability called Visa Token Service, participating financial institutions in the U.S., and eventually abroad, will be able to add Visa debit and credit cards to Apple Pay, Apple’s new payment service, and enable their customers to make easy and secure purchases at select U.S. merchants both in stores and in apps. Visa Token Service technology works by replacing sensitive payment account information found on plastic cards with a digital account number or “token” that can be safely stored on mobile devices and used for in store and in app purchases. Visa will roll out the service to financial institutions in phases, initially supporting early participants in the Apple Pay launch, and then extending the service availability to all of its U.S. clients.

Apple, Universal Music Group and U2 announced the release of the album “Songs of Innocence,” which Apple is gifting to iTunes Store customers around the world. This makes for the largest album release ever with over half a billion copies distributed, Apple noted. Customers who sign up for an iTunes Store account in the next five weeks will get the album as a gift. “Songs of Innocence” is also available to stream via iTunes Radio and will be available on Beats Music.

Apple Watch straps include the Sport Band in black, blue, green, pink and white; the Classic Buckle in black and midnight blue; the Leather Loop in bright blue, light brown and stone; the Modern Buckle in midnight blue, brown, soft pink, rose gray and bright red; the Milanese Loop in stainless steel; and the Link Bracelet in brushed stainless steel and polished space black. Apple Watch will be available in early 2015 starting at $349. Apple Watch is compatible with iPhone 5, iPhone 5c, iPhone 5s, iPhone 6 or iPhone 6 Plus running the latest version of iOS 8.
