AMD (AMD) plans to launch Godavari series APUs at the end of may to compete with Intel's (INTC) Broadwell and Skylake platforms, reports DigiTimes. According to Taiwan-based supply chain makers, AMD will launch 14nm Summit Ridge APUs to be produced by Samsung (SSNLF) and Globalfoundries in 2016 and the Raven Ridge-series in 2017. Reference Link

Brean Capital analyst Ananda Baruah initiated shares of Apple with a Buy rating and $160 price target ahead of the company's March quarter results tonight. Baruah tells investors that consensus estimates for the iPhone maker are "materially low" though 2017. The analyst sees upside through 2017 from iPhone shipments and favorable gross margin due to greater than expected sales of the more profitable 6 Plus. Shares of Apple closed Friday up 61c to $130.28.
