Two GM board directors are leaving, reports the Wall Street Journal. David Bonderman, 71, won't seek re-election at the company's annual meeting in June, and Robert Krebs, 72, will retire immediately. Also, Don Johnson, U.S. VP of Chevrolet sales, will retire from the company, and be replaced March 1 by Brian Sweeney, now U.S. VP of Buick-GMC sales. Duncan Aldred, chairman and managing director of Vauxhall Motors and CEO of Opel Ireland, will succeed Sweeney. Reference Link

The National Highway Traffic Safety Administration urged automakers to recall all U.S. vehicles with airbags made by Takata, according to The New York Times. The recall of of vehicles with the airbags has been limited to two states and two territories associated with high humidity, the newspaper stated. Publicly traded companies in the space include Fiat S.p.A. (FIATY), Ford (F), General Motors (GM), Honda (HMC), Nissan (NSANY), Toyota (TM) and Volkswagen (VLKAY). Reference Link

The National Highway Traffic Safety Administration, or NHTSA, is calling for a nationwide recall of "millions of vehicles" due to Takata air bags that could inflate with too much force and injure drivers, reports CNBC.
