07:34 EDTGIBCGI Group extends, expands partnership with EPIM
CGI has signed an agreement to operate and further develop an IT system that manages oil and gas activities on the Norwegian continental shelf and internationally. The agreement with Exploration and Production Information Management Association has a total value of NOK74M over four years. Today's announcement extends and expands the partnership between the two companies. Under the new agreement, CGI will assume responsibility for operating L2S to support exploration on the Norwegian continental shelf and internationally until FY17. During this time, CGI will continue to operate an L2S solution for international oil and gas exploration. CGI will upgrade the L2S portal and user interface leveraging an OpenText portal solution. CGI has also signed a letter of intent to standardize and enhance all EPIM end-user support agreements.

CGI announced that it is partnering with the Michigan Municipal Services Authority to offer CGI Advantage360, a software as a service enterprise resource planning solution, to multiple Michigan localities. Initial clients under the new agreement are the City of Grand Rapids, which signed a $6.5M, five-year contract, and Kent County, which signed a $6M, five-year contract. The State of Michigan contracted with CGI in June 2014 to utilize CGI AdvantageŽ for state-wide financial management. CGI was selected by the MMSA through Michigan's MiDEAL initiative, an extended purchase program allowing local government entities to use state contracts for purchasing goods and services.

CGI has joined forces with Baseline Telematics, a provider of usage-based insurance solutions, to integrate Baseline's end-to-end UBI platform with CGI's Ratabase rating engine. Baseline Telematics' UBI platform helps a smartphone app or a small device plugged into a policyholder's car provides real-time information on location, mileage, speed, sudden acceleration, braking, etc. to insurers, enabling them to rate and invoice insurance policies on a variable monthly basis.

07:28 EDTGIBCGI awarded three year user computing services contract by Highways England
CGI has been awarded a contract to provide information and communications technology services to Highways England. The three-year end user computing services contract will support Highways England through a major IT refresh and its transition from a government agency within the UK Department for Transport to a government-owned company. CGI will provide end user computing services through a collaborative ICT model for over 3,500 Highways England staff. The Highways England contract with CGI will enable it to further benefit from disaggregated ICT services, providing greater flexibility to facilitate the modernisation of its ICT infrastructure. The new end user computing services model implemented by CGI will improve business agility, mobility and security, allowing Highways England to adopt a range of mobile devices such as secure laptops and tablets.
